No one will sing your song louder than you. So sing your lyrics and let the world hear your message.

Welcome to LavenderMe, a site I've dedicated to writing about life, parenthood, spirituality and much more to stirrup thought-provoking discussions either within you or among friends and family.
I believe every single person on earth is here to carry out a purpose. One of mine is sharing deeply meaningful discussions through my love for writing. In December 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I published my second book, a novel I titled, "A Perfect Weather For Tomorrow." While the story is fictional, it draws from life experiences that feel familiar to readers all over the world.
For many years, I envisioned the role of authorship and its fruition was a confirmation that whatever I desire or purpose to become, as long as I actively work towards it, I can certainly accomplish.
This is my goal: to encourage and motivate others who have dreams, goals, visions to fulfill their life-long purpose.
Shalewa Akindele never believed in soul-mates. But when she meets Kolawole St. Martins and tastes the sweetness of his lips, she reconsiders her beliefs. Months later, she's abandoned with a gift she didn't ask for. This leads to depression and time in a psychiatric hospital. She finds solace and a second chance in handsome Makinde Omole.
Kolawole knew the moment he laid eyes on Shalewa. She wasn't the kind of gal he would mess around with. Yet, he convinces her that they belong together. For several months, they sail the steamy ocean of love-at-first-sight. One wrong decision, he loses her trust and love.
Thousands of miles apart and years later, their paths crossed once again. Is the world really a small world? Will time and chance heal all wounds and reunite these lost soul-mates?
What I am about:
Do you have an idea for a book, fiction or nonfiction? Inspirational or self-help? Need help to turn your ideas into an actual published book?
Do you have unanswered questions about your faith and spirituality? What is the point of it all? Does the concept of a Supreme Being/God creates more questions than answer?
Juggling multiple roles? Feeling Overwhelmed? Need someone to talk with in a nonjudgmental space?
BLACK. LIVES. MATTER. ALWAYS.
Yes, my BLACK is beautiful!
Yes, my BLACK is powerful!
Yes, my BLACK shines through darkness!
Do not only see the color of my skin, which is brown and beautiful,
See the seed sown inside me by the One who created me!
Watch as the seed grows into the large IROKO tree that becomes a shade for many!
You cannot cut down an IROKO tree with bear hands, neither with cutlass or axe. It's a waste of time!
Wisdom will tell you, rather than cut down the IROKO, leave it, watch it, tend it, love it, bless it, care for it!
Soon, you and your children's children will enjoy the shade it provides.
Don't hate my BLACK IROKO SELF; love me because you'll save yourself and your children in the process!
